SUMMARY:National Civics Bee Local Competition 2024
DESCRIPTION:The Knox County Chamber of Commerce is honored to host the first local Civics Bee competition in the Knox County region. This event is hosted in partnership with The Civic Trust of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and is aimed at encouraging young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. \n\n\n\nThis live event will have three separate rounds. During rounds one and two\, all finalists will answer the same multiple-choice questions within the allotted time. The finalists with the highest scores will advance on to round three. During round three\, each of the finalists will provide a 3-sentence summary of their essay. A live panel of judges will then ask questions building on the summary of their original essay. The judges will score the finalists responses and add their points from round three to the cumulative point total from rounds one and two.\n\n\n\nThe top finalists will be award cash prizes and be invited to compete in the state competition hosted by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. \n\n\n\nWe hope you will join us for this exciting event to celebrate civic engagement and knowledge amongst our region's future leaders!
