Fred Espenak
Fred Espenak, Scientist Emeritus and a retired NASA astrophysicst with the Goddard Space Flight Center will speak about eyewitness accounts of totality from great astronomers of the past as well as recent experiences of his own. This presentation is free and open to the public and courtesy of Vincennes University in partnership with the Vincnnes/Knox County Eclipse. The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse will cover portions of 15 states and 6 Canadian provinces and promises to be the most widely viewed eclipse of all time. A preview of this highly anticipated event will feature maps and weather prospects along the path based on recent books published by the speaker.
