Indigenous Peoples' Day Celebration
The Vincennes University Humanities Film & Lecture Series and Wabash Valley Progressives are joining together to celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day with a screening of the PBS film “We Shall Remain: Tecumseh’s Vision”. Dr. Nancy Peterson, Professor of English and an affiliated faculty member of the Native American and Indigenous Studies program at Purdue University, will lead a discussion following the film. Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a holiday in the United States that celebrates and honors Native American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures.
