State of Series: Healthcare 2023
Knox County is a growing community, and the Knox County Chamber of Commerce wants to help businesses address the challenges that come with growth. The State of Series focuses on updating the local community with initiatives regarding local business climate. This four-part series will focus on different business aspects of the Knox County area.
Tickets for the State of Series luncheons are $20/person. Registration is required for this event.
Registration is now live for the State of Healthcare, provided by Good Samaritan Hospital. We will hear from Eldon Whetstone (Assistant Commissioner, Health and Human Services Commission at the Indiana Department of Health) and Adam Thacker, COO at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Eldon Whetstone currently serves as the Assistant Commissioner leading the Health and Human Services Commission (HHS) within the Indiana Department of Health. HHS includes ten divisions including programs as Trauma and Injury Prevention, Maternal and Child Health, Chronic Disease and Primary Care, Oral Health, and others. Eldon began his career at Health as an attorney practicing administrative litigation and transactional work. He transitioned to management to lead the Women, Infants, and Children division for seven years before assuming his current role in 2018. While not at work, Eldon and his wife stay busy with their three boys.
The State of Healthcare luncheon will be on Wednesday, October 25th at the Good Samaritan Hedde Education Center from 11:45 AM - 1 PM. Lunch will begin promptly at 11:45 AM, and the program will follow at 12 PM. Registration is required to attend, seating is limited.
