PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the Recycling Center, the Household Hazardous Waste program, and all associated programs and services; ensures that all personnel policies and procedures, and safety policies and procedures, are followed at all times; promotes source reduction, recycling, and reuse activities through marketing and the development and delivery of special programs and events; represents the District at public events and meetings, and on various boards, committees and task forces. |

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facility maintenance and appearance - Equipment and Vehicle inspection and maintenance - Assist with material handling - Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) - Universal Waste (UW) - Financial transactions and security of funds - Compliance with Internal Controls Policy - Compliance with District safety policies and procedures - Compliance with DOT and EPA regulations - Respond to customer questions and complaints - Assist customers - invoicing and receipting - Collections, storage and transportation of reuse, recyclable and waste materials - Collection, segregation, processing, storage and shipping of HHW
- Bills of Lading - Shipping schedules and receipts - Equipment inspection and maintenance logs - Safety checklists - Reuse, recyclable, and waste materials volume reports - Facility inspection logs
